The Shannon Region in Ireland is a wonderful place to start your tour of historic Irish castles. The counties of Clare and Limerick are the focus in this region located in the midwestern coastal section of Ireland.

Take the Shannon River ferry from Killimer, County Clare, to Tarbert, County Kerry, or

Have a Guinness and listen to the traditional Irish music at Gus O'Connors Pub in Doolin.

In the meantime, you may want to order a cd of Irish music to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Celtic Woman is a talented group from Ireland you will love. We've heard them in concert and their music is amazing. The cd "Songs From The Heart" is available here:

Another original Irish group is De Dannan. The cd "Best of De Dannan" is available here:

If you would like to learn more about Frankie Gavin and the fabulous De Dannan Group, go to the De Dannan website.

And for my favorite Irish group, Brock McGuire Band, here is a link to their fun cd "Green Grass Blue Grass:"

We had the pleasure of hosting the members of the Brock McGuire Band in our home last year while they were touring the area. They put on a fabulous concert and they are wonderful, lovely gentlemen who have become dear friends. To learn more about their music and concert schedule, go to the Brock McGuire Website.
